Jill Smith, MEd, RVT
Meet Jill, the human behind Tentacle Development.

I’ve been involved in adult education since 1997 when I started teaching at West Coast College of Health Care in Surrey, BC. I was bitten by the teaching bug and have continued to teach, including at military technical schools.

Eventually, I decided I wanted to be better at this teaching gig so I enrolled at Georgian College in Barrie, ON to learn more about developing courses and programs. Well, if the teaching bug was potent, the course development bug was even more aggressive! I liked it so much I completed my BEd in Adult Education at Brock University and then continued to my Master’s at UNB in Fredericton, NB. While the degrees were in Adult Ed, my focus was ever concentrated on instructional development for adults.

I’d love to help your organization develop or improve your course offerings, whether face to face, blended or e-learning. I know what it’s like to be an instructor in the trenches with little or no education or background in teaching. At the same time, I can help with high quality course development focusing on sound adult learning principles including topic research.
